Tiny, tender and sweet
Baby corn is grown like the sweetcorn we usually eat, except that it is harvested as soon as it reaches a size of about 10 cm. Very tender and sweet, it can be eaten raw or preserved in vinegar. It can be enjoyed as is, dipped in sauces as an appetiser, or used in raw vegetable salads or dishes such as stir-fries.
The most widely grown plant in the world contains 3 times more vitamin B than most fresh vegetables! It is also known for its high vitamin A content, which stimulates the immune system and improves the skin, eyesight and gums.
